Hospital Donation By Evertrust President Gives Back to Community
Evertrust’s Founder and President Dr. Ted Jiancheng Zhou made it a priority to give back to the community of Bracebridge with a timely hospital donation weeks after breaking ground in the area for Upper Vista Muskoka.

Dr. Zhou’s commitment to investing in the communities that his company builds in is at the heart of all Evertrust does as it strives to create happy and healthy lifestyles for everyone.
Soon after the opening celebration for Upper Vista Muskoka on June 23, 2022, the Evertrust team engaged with local officials to find out where financial support may be best focused for the town at large and the busy cast department at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital was selected as the most needed option.
A Transformative Contribution
Approximately $2 million dollars for new equipment needs to be raised every year according to SMHF’s Executive Director Leah Walker, who called the $25, 000.00 donation from the Dr. Ted Zhou family “transformative.”
Local dignitaries were also on hand for the presentation and Mayor for the Town of Bracebridge, Rick Maloney said he was overwhelmed by the generosity and support to the local healthcare system.
“For him to recognize that he wants to support this hospital as not only a businessman but also a family man, it resonates so well with our community.”

As for Dr. Zhou, the donation was an important part of Evertrust Development entering the Muskoka market and making social responsibility a top priority.
“We need to support people. We need to support community and the most important way to do that is through healthcare, so that is why I am here today.”

Making a Difference in Bracebridge
The cast department provides care to patients requiring cast application or removal, as well as to those requiring orthopaedic post-trauma or post-operative follow-up by an orthopaedic surgeon. It is an area that is a crucial component to the hospital services and sees thousands of patients a year.
